This course is a continuation of LNG 242 (Japanese II) and is intended for students with basic Japanese knowledge. The course aims to enable students to use the acquired grammatical patterns and improve their speaking, reading, writing, and listening comprehension skills. The course is geared to a part of A2.1 and to A2.2 of the A2 level of CEFR.

- A2.1 [Lesson 15 Staying Healthy] Ask a friend how he/she is feeling / Answer how you are feeling / Listen to/Say how to do some easy exercises / Suggest something good for the health
- A2.1 [Lesson 16 Staying Healthy] Talk briefly about what you usually do to stay healthy / Read and answer a simple questionnaire to health / Make a simple presentation about the results of a questionnaire
- A2.1 [Lesson 17 Celebrations] Compliment a friend on his/her things / Talk about your things, saying when and from whom you got them / Talk briefly about the custom of present-giving in your country
- A2.1 [Lesson 18 Celebrations] Discuss what to do for a friend’s celebrations / Read/Write a congratulatory message for a wedding / Thank someone for a present you receive
