This course introduces the basic knowledge of Chinese. It aims not only to enable students to use the acquired grammatical patterns but also to improve their reading, writing, speaking, and listening comprehension skills. The course is geared to A1.1 and to a part of A1.2 of the A1 level of CEFR.
Chinese I course designed to improve basic speaking, reading, writing and listening skills according to Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) Basic User A1.
Haftalık konular 14 hafta
- Lesson 1-2: Introduction to China and Chinese language; Learning the four tones of Chinese (Mandarin); Learning Chinese Phonetic Alphabet (Pinyin)
- Lesson 3-4: Unit 1: Practicing Pinyin and tones
- Lesson 5-6: Unit 1: Learning basic strokes of Chinese characters; introducing themselves and others
- Lesson 7-8: Unit 1: Asking questions and talking about one’s name, identity, and nationality.
- Lesson 9-10: Unit 2: Describing numbers 0-99; asking and talking about age
- Lesson 11-12: Unit 2: Talking about family members and describing the number of them; describing the number of people and objects; asking the quantity of people and objects to describe one’s job or major; learning the Chinese zodiac.
- Lesson 13-14: Unit 3: Asking and describing the date and someone’s birthday; asking and describing the time
- Lesson 15-16: Unit 3: Describing something as either “a” or “b”; talking about daily routine; learning traditional Chinese festivals
- Lesson 17-18: Unit 4: Describing amounts of money; asking the price of an item; knowing the measure words
- Lesson 19-20: Unit 4: Describing degree; expressing a desire; knowing all necessary words about shopping
- Lesson 21-22: Unit 5: Describing an action in progress; describing future plans; describing a change or development
- Lesson 23-24: Unit 5: Describing movement to a certain place; describing the number of times an action or activity has occurred
- Lesson 25-26: Unit 6: Ordering food in a restaurant; asking someone about their favorite food or drink and if there are any foods they avoid
- Lesson 27-28: Unit 6: Describing a food’s flavor, offering a suggestion; comparing the qualities of “a” and “b”; describing something as the best in its category; describing ability
