This course introduces the basic knowledge of Russian. It aims not only to enable students to use the acquired grammatical patterns but also to improve their reading, writing, speaking, and listening comprehension skills. The course is geared to A1.1 and to a part of A1.2 of the A1 level of CEFR.

Russian I course designed to improve basic speaking, reading, writing and listening skills according to Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) Basic User A1.

  1. 1.Introduction to the class. Lesson One: (pages 3-13) Speech patterns: This is Ivan. He's here. Is this Anna? Is Anna at home? Phonetic material: Vowels (a, o, u, e, i). Consonants (l, m, n, p, b, f, v, t, d). The rhythm of the word, stress, reduction.
  2. 2. Lesson two: Speech patterns: When is the lesson? What is your name? Phonetic material: Consonants (s, z, r). Rhythm of a word, syllabus, stress, reduction. Comparison of IK-1 IK-2 IK-3 Grammatical material: The concept of parts of speech. Animate and inanimate. Concepts Lesson Three: Speech Patterns: Hello. Goodbye. How are you?
