Ders içeriği

Technology management is an interdisciplinary field that integrates science, engineering and management body of knowledge as well as practice. Successful management of technology acquisition and implementation allows organizations to create competitive advantage. The course aims for the students to understand life cycles of technology/product/process/systems and the role of management in such cycles, and to equip them with the nature and content of methods of quantitative analysis employed in technology acquisition decision making. The course also emphasizes the disruptive nature of emerging technologies in data analytics, management information systems and operations of firms and addresses the approaches to prepare managers for such changes and help them mitigate their negative effects.
